Oakville Is My Home

When and where Oakville's farmers' markets run

Checked October 2026

Oakville has two outdoor farmers’ markets, and they do not run at the same time of year or on the same day of the week. One is a long Saturday season. The other is a short run of Sundays in the summer. If you are planning a trip for produce, the day you go matters more than the address.

The bigger of the two is the Dorval Crossing Civitan Farmer’s Market, at 240 North Service Road West, in the Dorval Crossing East Plaza at the southeast corner of North Service Road West and Dorval Drive. It runs on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Both the market’s own website and Visit Oakville describe the season the same way: every Saturday from May until the end of November. Visit Oakville listed the 2026 season as May 2 to November 28, so the Saturday market runs into late November. Treat that as the listing, not a promise, and check before you go. The market’s own site says all proceeds earned by the market stall rentals are donated to local Oakville charities.

The second is the Bronte Farmers’ Market, at Bronte Market Square, 2445 Lakeshore Road West. It is a Sunday market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and it is a summer market rather than a full season. Bronte Village, the business improvement area that runs it, describes it as every Sunday through the summer, and published the 2026 season as July 5 to August 30, which is nine Sundays. Some years also carry an extra market date outside that run, so the summer season is not always the whole list. Either way, Bronte is not a place to go looking for a market in spring or late autumn. For the next season’s dates, and for any additional dates, check bronte-village.ca.

Neither season is fixed from year to year. Before a trip, check the market’s own page for the current year’s dates.

What to bring

Neither market publishes what payment its vendors take, so do not assume every stall has a card reader. Bringing some cash as well as a card is the safe approach. Parking, pets and wet-weather cancellation are not addressed on either market’s page either, so if any of those decide your trip, phone or message the market first rather than guessing.
